WHAT IS THE DEAR DIARY PROJECT?

The Dear Diary Project is a community-driven story told through the lens of the Sims 4. It features in-depth lore, wide-reaching story arcs, and a multitude of inter-connected characters across multiple inter-connected regions. The story is told through a combination of wiki-style lore pages and diary entries from the perspective of characters in the story.

How is this different than the let’s play stories I watch?

For one - you can contribute! Anyone can get involved and contribute characters, lore ideas, and art to be featured on the project. Moreover, the depth and scale of this story aims to exceed the average let’s play story, with a multitude of interconnected characters and lore pages to create a rich tapestry of stories woven together.

How do I read the story?

To the left, you should see a navigation bar drop down. If you click the arrow next to that, you’ll find a list of links to various sections. This navigation bar will be present on most section pages somewhere near the top of the page to help you find your way around. You can also use the breadcrumb bar at the top of the page to navigate within a section. You’ll find the bulk of the story in the DIARY section, and most of the lore in the WORLD MAP section - so start there!

How can I get involved?

Keep an eye on the CREDITS & CONTRIBUTIONS page! The project is still in it’s early stages, and we need a team to process contributions keep things running smoothly before we can open the story up to the community. In the meantime, feel free to read through the story so far and join our DISCORD SERVER to chat with the community and submit feedback on the story so far!
